Marmorino is a traditional Italian Plaster that was born centuries ago as a by-product of the Italian Marble industry.  Today it is also known by different names throughout the world such as; Venetian Plaster, Polished Plaster, Italian Plaster, Stucco Paint and Venetian Paint.

Marmorino is used to create stunning surfaces with a silky shine and deep transparency of polished or textured stone effects.

Smooth to Touch

Made from crushed marble and natural limestone lime putty, natural pigments can be added to the lime mix, and be tinted from the Marmorino natural white to a wide range of colours.  As a member of the Venetian Plaster family, Marmorino has a subtle natural mineral look that is smooth to touch.  Applying varying burnishing techniques, Marmorino can be polished to a matte or a low sheen finish as well as a high shine of some Venetian Plasters.  The appeal of Marmorino is that it allows walls to breathe making it suitable for locations with high humidity.

Bespoke Finishes

With added aggregates such as marble, granite or glass, add thickness and a subtle ‘cloudy’ aesthetic texture.  These very properties allow for Marmorino to be applied not only smooth, though in a more textured finish.

It with this ability to be texturized, and ‘build up’, Marmorino has more creative abilities inclusive of stencilling which cannot be achieved with some high polishing Venetian Plasters.

For the creative use of Marmorino, metallic flecks can be added to the mix to give a luxury wall finish.  Oxidation is another artistic use of Marmorino.  To achieve a rusted finish, differing application processes are used to give different natural corrosion effects.  The wall appears to be aged metal, however warm and smooth to touch.
